CT Technologist – Level 2 (Weekends)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Weekend Coverage – Saturday 4:00 PM – Sunday 7:00 AM (double shift) or Saturday 11:30 PM – 7:00 AM and Sunday 4:00 PM – 11:30 PM; open to splitting coverage between two candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues to support medical diagnosis
• Accurately interpret physician scanning instructions and position patients appropriately to capture required images
• Administer contrast materials in accordance with NYS certification requirements
• Prepare, operate, and maintain CT scan equipment while adhering to all radiation safety protocols
• Assist with inpatient portable X-rays as needed during overnight shifts
• Safely maneuver equipment and assist patients with limited mobility throughout the scanning process

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Current ARRT certification required
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license required
• NYS certification for contrast injections required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school for radiologic technology with advanced training in CT

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced certification or experience in MRI technology
• Experience performing inpatient portable X-rays
• Familiarity with interventional radiography procedures
